Stuff the Bus School Supplies Program

Each year, the Grove City Area United Way sponsors a "Stuff the Bus" drive.  The purpose of this drive is to obtain new school supplies, including backpacks and lunch boxes, for children in need who reside within the Grove City Area School District community.

Families must complete the Assistance Request form to be considered for the program.  Supplies are provided on a first-come, first-serve basis, so it is helpful to submit requests in a timely manner. Although we want to assist as many families as possible, there may not be enough supplies to meet all of the requests, so PLEASE submit your request as soon as possible.

The distribution process usually takes place the week prior to the first day of school.  Families requesting assistance will receive more information after a completed request is received. NOTE:  The fact that you submit the request form does not guarantee that we will be able to provide your children with school supplies.

Thank YOU!

Thank you to the volunteers and contributors that made it possible to meet all of the requested needs thus far
and have backpacks and supplies left over for next year as well!

The Grove City Area United Way would like to thank all of the individuals, companies and churches who give so generously of their time and resources to make our annual Grove City Area United Way Stuff the Bus program a success. Because of the great generosity of numerous people, we are able to distribute approximately 100 new backpacks filled with school supplies to Grove City school students in need.

We have also been able to provide Highland, Hillview and the Middle School with much needed extra school supplies such as notebooks, binders, crayons, glue sticks and pencils.  Since we started the Stuff the Bus program in Grove City in 2008, we have distributed over 800 backpacks to Grove City Area School District students whose families were unable to purchase these items for them on their own.

We express our sincere thanks to Click Chiropractic who supported the 2015 Grove City Area United Way Stuff the Bus program by holding donation drives and to Center Presbyterian Church for their continued tremendous support of this program.

Finally, on behalf of the students who received a new backpack and school supplies this year, the Grove City Area United Way wants to thank the Grove City community for once again showing in such a concrete way that you truly care about making our community the absolute best that it can be for ALL of our residents.

Reach out a hand to one and influence the condition of all. That's what it means to LIVE UNITED.
