Stuff the Bus 2024

Each year, the Grove City Area United Way holds its "Stuff the Bus" program.  The purpose of this program is to provide new backpacks and school supplies to children in need who reside within the Grove City Area School District community, in Grove City, PA.

Requests may be submitted online using the Stuff the Bus Request for Assistance form.   If you prefer, a printable form is available here.  The deadline for submission is Monday, August 12, 2024.

Families must complete the Request for Assistance Form to be considered for the program.  Supplies are provided on a first-come, first-served basis, so it is helpful to submit requests in a timely manner. Although we want to assist as many families as possible, there may not be enough supplies to meet all of the requests, so please submit your request as soon as possible, but no later than Monday, August 12, 2024.

The distribution process takes place the week prior to the first day of school.  Families requesting assistance will receive more information after a completed request is received. NOTE:  Submitting a request form does not guarantee that we will be able to provide your children with school supplies.

Donations of new backpacks and school supplies, and monetary donations are always welcome and can be brought to our office on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 119 S. Broad Street (please call first to ensure someone will be there).  Monetary donations can also be made online here.  Please indicate Stuff the Bus in the Donation Note box.

* Grace United Methodist Church:  during July, a yellow school bus donation bin will be located outside the nursery

* NexTier Bank: July 15 - August 14
* Grove City Area Federal Credit Union (both locations):  July 5 - August 12
* Meals on Wheels at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church: July 22 - August 9
* Grove City YMCA: month of July
* AHN Grove City:  June 24 - August 9, donations accepted at Main entrance, Cafe entrance & Surgery entrance
* Broad Street Grille: July - August 12

Since beginning the program in our community in 2008, the GCAUW has given out almost 1,600 backpacks filled with supplies.

with backpacks and supplies left over for next year as well!
