Board of Directors - Brendan Smith
Grove City Area School District

Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Brendan has spent 40 blessed years mostly in public education as a teacher, coach, and administrator. He is currently wrapping up his 16th year at Grove City High School -- a place that has been a true family affair for him.  His wife, Kelley, is a retired district employee, and he has had the unique joy of working alongside her and their two sons, Torin (class of 2012) and Dalee (class of 2017) during their time there.

Today, Torin is following in those footsteps as a teacher and coach in Franklin, while Dalee is serving as a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force in Europe.  Brendan and Kelley are also the proud grandparents of Sloane, Landry and Sutton.

Brendan is joining the Grove City Area United Way Board because his family is deeply indebted to the teachers, coaches and neighbors who took their boys under their wings over the years.  After 30 years in this community, he is honored to help ensure that the same spirit of support is there for every family in Grove City.
